Layne Eiler, the company's founder, comes from a background rooted in fashion design and visual merchandising. However, in 2010 she made the transition from the fashion world into specialty coffee and food by working at Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea. The same love for high quality materials, attention to detail and beautiful aesthetics that she applied in the fashion world transferred smoothly into her work in the specialty coffee and food arena. She expanded her knowledge in this market over the next few years by working with a few different Los Angeles specialty food markets and coffee shops. In the summer of 2012, out of the desire to hand craft something of her own, she began Sweet Clementine's Popsicles. Using a variety of unique flavors and a restyled popsicle cart, Layne set out to become a part of the cherished summer time ritual in a healthy and delicious way. Much to her surprise, she was met with an overwhelmingly positive response and has had the opportunity to work with a variety of wonderful partners such as Handsome Coffee Roasters, Madewell, Grand Central Market, Kinfolk Parachute Festival, Kate Spade and Coachella. The generious support of fans and partners alike have continued to drive Layne's passion to create with each new season in the journey.
From the early days of experimenting in Layne's apartment, to those currently spent in the prep kitchen, the process hasn't changed. Each of our popsicles are made by hand. The quality of our ingredients is a core value at Sweet Clementine's, which is why all of our popsicles are made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. It is for this reason that we offer the ever-evolving menu of flavors that the company has become known for.
